Arabic calligraphy

I'm taking Arabic this semester and part of the language is calligraphy. But unlike many languages, Arabic has set rules for its calligraphy that allows for more than just a language of words to be communicated. It creates art.

  1. I'm actually Iranian, and although the Iranian language is Farsi, it is very similar to caligraphy. My dad lived in Iran for a very long time and he does absolutely beautiful caligraphy in Farsi. My sister even started learningn a few years back. I, unfortunatley, have not had the opportunity to learn, but I'm very excited for a petition going around for a Farsi class at Tech!
